Allergies are believed to be the leading cause of many undiagnosed symptoms. At least 60% of the American population suffers from symptoms associated with food reactions.
Do you have allergies?
You may have an allergy if you experience symptoms such as hives, itchy skin, sinus infections, headaches, ear infections, insomnia, fatigue, digestive disorders, nausea, joint pain, anxiety, autism,ADD and more. Food reactions can be immediate such as a tingling sensation in the mouth, congestion, swelling, itchiness, shortness of breath, sudden headache, weakness or nausea. 80% of food allergies are delayed reactions and can take 2-3 days before symptoms occur. A sensitivity can develop over time by repetitive eating of the same foods or exposure to allergens.
What causes allergies?
Our immune systems have to constantly adapt to the stresses of daily life. Disturbances in cellular signals effect our immune responses. Allergies can develop when we are exposed to prolonged mental and physical trauma, increased number of vaccinations, overuse of pharmaceutical drugs, chemical pollution in the air, water, and food, processed and genetically modified foods, food chemicals, colors and substitutes, poor dietary habits, unhealthy eating habits, early weaning and introduction of solid foods to infants.
An increase in allergies can cause a disturbance in the energy delivery system of the body. This can cause the immune system to become sensitive and react by attacking everything from ingested foods to the bodies own tissues and organs. If partially digestive protein crosses the intestinal barrier it can be reabsorbed by the GI tract and an allergic response can occur. To treat this cause of illness, many healthcare practitioners focus on the secondary symptoms while missing the root cause.
They know little about the gut which is responsible for 70% of our immune response. From an MD’s standpoint, it’s a very gray area,” says gastroenterologist Donald Kirby, MD, director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the Cleveland Clinic. “Physicians don’t know enough about the gut, which is our biggest immune system organ.“You hope that your doctor is a good-enough Sherlock Holmes, but sometimes it is very hard to make a diagnosis.”“We don’t know a lot but we know that leaky gut exists,” says Linda A. Lee, MD, a gastroenterologist and director of the Johns Hopkins Integrative Medicine and Digestive Center. “In the absence of evidence, we don’t know what it means or what therapies can directly address it.”
How to treat allergies?
The difference in allergy treatment techniques applied by traditional versus holistic practitioners is based primarily on the definition of allergy. Although definitions and techniques may vary, the outcomes must be the same – that is, desensitization to the offending allergen.
Dr. Devi Nambudripad, MD, DC, Ac. PhD is the Sherlock Holmes of Allergy Elimination. In 1983 she developed an allergy elimination system,NAET,that effectively treated the root cause. All substances, living and non-living, emit energy. Atoms attract and repel one another, building molecules and more complex structures, all while creating energy frequencies that interact in positive and negative ways. When frequencies are dissonant, a block or weakness occurs, resulting in symptoms associated with increased, decreased or irregular reactivity. We treat allergies by correcting the energy flow and desensitizing the offending allergen. When the body is exposed to anything that weakens it, the bodies cellular system registers a disturbance. The immune system will react sometimes causing altered reactions(allergies). NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination System) is a proven technology that eliminates most forms of allergies and sensitivities. Rather than treating the symptoms, we treat the problem at its source by retraining the body so that it no longer reacts inappropriately to the allergen. This natural, non-invasive, and non-needle approach is drug-free and gentle enough to be done on babies.
Using a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture/laser, chiropractic, nutritional and kinesiological disciplines, one group of allergens is generally treated at a time. Clients with strong immune systems often require only one treatment per group, while very severe reactions to an allergen may require several office visits.
What type of allergies can we eliminate?
- Inhalants: pollens, flowers, dust, perfumes, paint, etc.
- Ingested: foods, drinks, supplements, drugs, food additives, etc.
- Skin contact: personal care products, fabrics, chemicals, etc.
- Skin Injected: insect bites, stings, immunizations, etc.
- Physical agents: heat, cold, humidity, etc.
Allergy Elimination is practiced by over 20,000 practitioners around the world. Included are MD's, chiropractors, acupuncturists, dentists, veterinarians, naturopaths and nurse practitioners.
